ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has di
smissed a petition seeking the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran
Khan.
Sources informed media that the ECP had di
smissed the petition as it
was not persuaded with regards to the matter. The petition was filed by Hashim Bhutta, however, the petitioner remained absent during the hearing.
Sources said the petition s
ought disqualification of the
PTI chief under article 62 and 63 of the constitution. The petition was to be heard on Monday but ECP di
smissed it because of the absence of the petitioner.
